This item was assessed for conservation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project (2006-2010).
Designed for the Card Room at Hous'hill in Nitshill in Glasgow. 'A unique and most elegant design, miniaturising some of the elements of the Library timbers at the Glasgow School of Art in a writing table. The paired beams seen in the Library, almost complete at this date, are echoes in the paired legs, and the chamfering of the balusters and the bent laths around the balcony are repeated in the rails below the drawers... D.1909.12 shows the table located between two chairs in a bay off the Card Room [at Hous'hill].' (Roger Billcliffe).

Rectangular writing table with grid-like stretcher. The arrangement of stretchers is like those of a number of items designed c1904-06 for Hill House and Hous'hill (Roger Billcliffe).

The majority of this piece of furniture was lost, however a brass repousse panel plus three handles, all damaged, were salvaged and have undergone conservation and consolidation work. The original item was assessed for conservation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project (2006-2010).

This length was created (as part of NMC/1579-1581) by Isobel Stirling for her Diploma Show in 1948 and produced under the supervision of Agnes McCreadie. In brown, burgundy and blue.

An illuminated Roll of Honour commissioned by The Glasgow School of Art to commemorate staff and students from Glasgow School of Art who served in World War One. It was designed by a former student, Dorothy Doddrell in 1925, and takes the form of an illuminated parchment in paint and gold leaf, set within a substantial copper and wood framed triptych – one large, central panel and two smaller side panels. The Roll of Honour lists 405 staff, students and governors who served during the conflict. It also cites the regiments served and references those who tragically died.

Publication created in January 2021 from Wing Hong Creative Residency, a partnership project between GSA Community Engagement and the Wing Hong Chinese Elderly Centre in Garnethill, Glasgow. Alaya Ang created the publication to capture the project which developed a series of creative and collaborative activities with service users at the Wing Hong centre, with the aim of exploring themes of ageing, ageism and isolation.

The project took place during October and November 2020 in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, which meant many of the activities had to be adapted to be conducted remotely. This publication is a look into the process and preservation of the delicate experience of life during the lockdown through the participants eyes, that aims to illustrate the strength and joy of the Chinese elderly with the creative and sustaining power of art.

Publication includes Chinese text and English text. The cover reads "A reunion in the place where you are".

These chairs proved much too delicate for their original purpose; only eight of approximately forty have survived, and all of these have had to be reinforced. They were replaced in the GSA Library c1950 by the much sturdier chairs originally designed for the Ingram Street Tea Rooms, MC/F/67. The Ingram Street Tea Rooms were purchased by Glasgow Corporation in 1951 for £25,000 and were then rented out as various shops and warehouses.
