This item was lost in the fire in The Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School of Art on 23rd May 2014. This item was assessed for conservation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project (2006-2010). Designed for the Blue or Chinese Room at the Ingram Street Tea Rooms, Glasgow. The fretted back and side rails match the Chinese style motifs of the Blue Room (as called in the job books). Much of the woodwork in the Chinese Room was painted bright blue or red, but there is no trace of any finish having been applied to these chairs other than the ebonising which most of them still display. These chairs have always been associated with the Chinese Room and so must be identified with the entry for thirty-six in the job books (Roger Billcliffe). All the chairs rwere eupholstered in blue horsehair in 1985. The Ingram Street Tea Rooms were purchased by Glasgow Corporation in 1951 for £25,000 and were then rented out as various shops and warehouses.

The Shah Mosque (Persian), also known as Imam Mosque (Persian), is a mosque in Isfahan, Iran. It is regarded as one of the masterpieces of Irania/Persian architecture and an example of Islamic era architecture of Iran. It employed the haft rangi (seven-colour) style of tile mosaic.

Border along the left side on recto could possibly be script. Left edge has a pointed, triangular shape. The fragment appears to have been broken into 3 parts and then was glued back together. Label on verso - 'Persia 13th C.'

'Sulatanabad' handwritten on verso. Sulatanabad is a city, now known as Arak, in Iran. Label on verso - 'Persia 13th C.'
Glazed, star-shaped ceramic tile with 8 points. Has what might be hand-painted or transfer printing of a brown, standing bird figure. Appears a label was on verso, however most of it has been removed. Some chipping is present, otherwise the ceramic tile is intact.

Hollow sarcophagus cast with relief pattern of animals and figures. Dark yellow glaze over exterior. White, unglazed interior. '14-103' handwritten in black on bottom right corner.
Round pot with a biege glaze and areas of grey. Hand-painted red and gold designs. Rounded top with beige glaze is broken and very fragile. A red glazed rectangular piece is attached to one side with hand-painted white designs.

This item suffered significant damage in the fire in The Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School of Art on 23rd May 2014. It was salvaged and has undergone conservation and consolidation work in 2018. Brown fired ceramic bowl with grooves. Grey glaze on the inside.
This item was lost in the fire in The Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School of Art on 23rd May 2014. Designed for Argyle Street Tea Rooms, Glasgow. A very similar table with a square top was also used in the Argyle Street Tea Rooms, and a white version appears in Annan's photograph of Mackintosh's drawing room in Mains Street. Top repaired and repolished 1985. This item was assessed for conservation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project (2006-2010).

Large plain weave sample woven with fine cotton threads in dark blue, light blue, silver blue, coral, and dark green, and finer multi-coloured threads. With a pattern of vertical stripes and bands, some of them with a puckered effect.
