Architectural drawings

A variety of architectural drawings and studies completed by Mary Ramsay. These items are dated to her time as a student at The Glasgow School of Art, between the years 1915-1917, and bear labels details her teachers from this period. Most items are pencil on paper, with a few further studies in paint.

Brick house construction

Detail drawings of the construction of a brick house. A group project by Christopher Platt with four other students: Leong, Tam, Jim, and Roger (no surnames given). The other students' surnames as: Cheng Leong Lee, Tam Brady, Jim Baird. Despite the fact that it is a group project, this series consists of two items created by the architect.

This series includes one item by Jessie Wilson, another student of The Glasgow School of Art, with whom Mary Ramsay and Margaret Macdonald started a pottery decorating business at The Studio, Strathyre, in 1926.

Material created for Project 5, First Year which relates to the design of a study bedroom including the analysis sheets of the required data for the heating, lighting, and ventilation and the technical information for the functions: writing, reading, sketching, watching TV, listening to radio, entertaining, sleeping, and washing. In addition, the project includes the tracing papers for all the design criteria and space requirements.
