Three stapled sheets of typewritten paper include William Meldrum's brief biography and descriptions of two specific works. It also includes the custodial histories of the paintings: they were presented to the Glasgow Corporation in April 1966, after Meldrum's death. The final sheet illustrates a simple drawing of Glasgow street map, indicating where Meldrum may have depicted the view of Glasgow in the 1900s.

The description specifically details two undated watercolour landscape paintings titled "Cumbernauld Road at Riddrie, Glasgow." These paintings depict the same location, each viewed in the summer and winter.

15 painted pattern designs featuring floral, organic, and geometric motifs, including one book cover design for 'Gulliver's Travels' by Jonathan Swift. Most of these designs are likely intended for use in wallpaper, textiles, or graphics, and attached to black backing paper. Some include annotations of student registration no. ("No. 71") and signed "Gerard Murphy."

A series of watercolour drawings featuring plant subjects (namely Anemone, Holly, Lilly, and Violet flowers) and a folder for storing the paintings. Half of the items have been signed "G. Murphy, No. 71", and one drawing has been annotated.

A set of anatomical studies of a head, hand, leg, foot and human bodies. All the material has annotations of student registration number ("NO. 71") and signed "G. Murphy."

14 sheets of teaching examples and one title page, assumed to have been compiled as Murphy's portfolio during his career as an art teacher in schools located in Scotland, such as Motherwell RC High School and Coatbridge Secondary School. These teaching materials include pattern designs, graphic designs (possibly for students' school activities), and woodblock printmaking examples. Most items have been marked with the intended level of students as appropriate examples for education.

Subscriptions were obtained and a marble presentation panel was commissioned from George Frampton, R.A., sculptor. The panel was placed in the entrance hall of the new building of the School and unveiled in 1903. SEC/26: Records relating to War Memorial Fund, 1919 In 1919, two dramatic performances were produced by Miss Dorothy Carleton Smyth in order to raise funds to provide a memorial to the men of the School who fell at the front.

SEC/27: Records relating to John Keppie Scholarships, 1923-1937 In 1923, John Keppie, an architect in Glasgow, endowed two scholarships at Glasgow School of Art, in architecture and sculpture, in order to encourage the arts of architecture and sculpture. The scholarships were worth GBP100 each and were to be awarded in alternate years to the best student of the year. The architecture scholarship was to be spent in the study of architecture in Great Britain, Europe or elsewhere or in the measuring and laying down of some building of outstanding excellence. The sculpture scholarship was to be spent on the study of sculpture in the Schools of London, Paris, Brussels, Italy or elsewhere. A collection of six sketchbooks created by Mary Ramsay, including four from her time as a student at The Glasgow School of Art, one dated to after her studies, and one undated. These sketchbooks feature a variety of subjects and themes, including life drawings, portraits, illustrations, floral patterns, ceramics studies, book designs, card designs, and lettering. Most artworks are pencil on paper, with some also using paint, ink, and pastel. Some sketchbooks include a number of loose ephemera items, such as newspaper cuttings and postage stamps.

A variety of artworks completed by Mary Ramsay, including life drawings, portraits, architectural studies, designs, prints, and illustrations. Some of these items are dated to her time as a student at The Glasgow School of Art. Most items are pencil on paper, with a few further studies in paint.

The photographic collections consist of loose photographs, bound albums of photographs and a large collection of lantern slides and glass plate negatives.

The photographs record events at The Glasgow School of Art, its students and their work and act as an important historical source. A large part of the collection consists of the plate glass negatives which were used from the 19th century onwards as a teaching aid and consist of photographic plates of international artworks and architectural examples.
