Michael visited The Glasgow School of Art this summer, following the fire which occurred in the School’s Mackintosh Building in May. He was guided round the building by GSA Estates Development Project Manager Douglas Anderson. Douglas, an architect, was a student at GSA, and explained to Michael the importance of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Mackintosh Building for Glasgow.

Before he took in a tour of the Mackintosh Building, he enjoyed afternoon tea with Alison Brown, Curator of Decorative Art 1800-present at Glasgow Museums , at the Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed Willow Tea Rooms on Sauchiehall Street, where he learned all about the Glasgow Style.

You can watch the episode on iPlayer. The Glasgow section begins at 09.55 minutes into the programme.
